There was a 12 year difference in their ages and their personalities clashed. Charles' personal life is also laid bare with his pre-marriage romances in his run up to marrying Lady Diana Spencer. I walk away with a deeper understanding of the Charles and Diana dynamic. I don't care how Charles behaved, that's plainly not right. He likes architecture modernism is ugly to him , so he harks back to the past.

Growing up in the '80s I was a fan of Princess Diana, of course, but I didn't pay much attention to Charles. If you are a fan of the English monarchy, and enjoy a well written biography, then I absolutely recommend this book. American media rarely covers the British Royals outside of weddings and funerals. He pretty much said the same thing about Wallis Simpson, and other women he didn't care for.
